The Center's Emergency Preparedness Experts

The Center for Health Affairs' emergency preparedness experts take pride in working with area hospitals to improve the level of emergency preparedness in Northeast Ohio. 


Beth Gatlin

Beth Gatlin, RN, MA-HSM, ASPR Project Director

For more than a decade, Beth Gatlin, RN, MA-HSM, has fulfilled the role and responsibility of the The Center for Health Affairs' ASPR project director as well as the regional healthcare coordinator for 27 acute-care hospital facilities and federally qualified health centers over a five-county region (Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake and Lorain) by assisting them to increase their capacity and capability to respond to man-made or natural disasters.

Andrea Bishop


Andrea Bishop, BSN, Emergency Preparedness Project Manager

Andrea Bishop offers disaster preparedness training to Northeast Ohio hospitals and healthcare facilities interested in planning and preparing for an all-hazards event. She works in collaboration with Beth Gatlin to manage grant-funded program activities and initiatives that enhance regional disaster preparedness through disaster preparedness training.
