Why Community Health Planning Matters

The City Club of ClevelandThe Center for Health Affairs' Director of Community Outreach, Kirstin Craciun will speak on a panel during The City Club of Cleveland's upcoming event, "Why Community Health Planning Matters."

Community assessments and planning are one component for reducing disparities and improving the overall health and well-being of individuals. Ohio has several initiatives underway; how are they faring? How can local and state government effectively collaborate with healthcare systems, nonprofits, and social service agencies to affect lasting change?

This forum features a keynote presentation by Ohio Department of Health Medical Director Clint Koenig, M.D. followed by a panel discussion including:

  • Terry Allan, Commissioner, Cuyahoga County Board of Health
  • Kirstin Craciun, Director, Community Outreach, The Center for Health Affairs
  • Ben Miladin, LISW-S, Director of Health, Community Impact, United Way of Greater Cleveland
