Cleveland Council on World AffairsThe Cleveland Council on World Affairs is hosting a U.S. Department of State-sponsored delegation on the topic “Combating Drug Addiction and the Opioid Crisis.” The group will explore the impact of opioid addiction in urban and rural communities, demand reduction strategies, and current trends in understanding addiction. The visitors are here through the Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program, a professional exchange that welcomes nearly 5,000 visitors to the U.S. and 350 visitors to Cleveland annually.

For their professional program, they will be meeting with the Northeast Ohio Hospital Opioid Consortium to learn about the creation of the Consortium strategic plan.
